The Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Level I Exam focuses on the basic knowledge of the terminology and analytical tools used in technical analysis. The exam is two hours long and consists of 132 multiple-choice questions.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management is the First Academic Partner of CMT Association that is also a Prep-Provider Education Institute in India and provides Preparatory Sessions for the CMT Exams. The program will cover topics required for CMT Level 1 certification with a total learning time of 60 hours, ensuring the candidate is well prepared for the certificate. Dr. Hitesh Punjabi ( CMT)

Dr. Hitesh Punjabi is a Professor with Department of Finance, K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai. He is MBA (Finance), B.E(Chemical), CMT (Chartered Market Technician), Alumina of IIM Indore.

He has more than 15+ years of experience in Industry and Management education. Earlier he was associated with leading corporations likes Anand Rathi Securities, Religare Securities, HSBCInvest Direct Securities, East India Securities, ARJ Securities in the field of Equity Research and with Chetana’s Institute of Management & Research.

He has also conducted Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and Management Development Programs (MDPs) on a variety of topics for reputed organizations. He has chaired many research conferences, workshops and seminars. Mr. Hitesh has contributed articles and has published research papers in national and international publications. He is Mentor for Atal Incubation Centre supported by NITI-AAYOG.

He has been a Visiting Faculty for Finance at various institutes of Mgmt. since 2003. His areas of expertise are Financial Markets, Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, Equity Research- Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, Mutual Funds, Behavioral Finance and Algorithm Trading, Financial Analytics.
