Internationalisation of education in higher education institutions increases both cognitive flexibility and integretiveness of thought. In line of vision statement “Our dream is to build a world class research & teaching institution that is global in the reach of its ideas and universal in its service”, K J Somaiya Institute of Management envisaged internationalisation strategy to foster global competencies in our faculty and students. The National Education Policy, 2020 (India) also envisions attaining highest global standards in the quality of higher education.
We believe international collaborations will bring a paradigm shift in the nature of research delivery methods, growth of professionalism in research, innovation in teaching-learning approach. Internationalisation of management education promotes sharing of best academic and research practices through interactions between diverse education systems, and helps in developing global citizens through mobility of teaching staff, students and scholars. KJSIM aims to position themselves strategically to cater to the needs of the global knowledge society.

Studying abroad takes your college experience to a new level. It takes you out of your element and puts you in an uncomfortable situation, allowing you to learn in a new way. Belgium, being in the heart of Europe, provided me with the opportunity to do so. I am extremely grateful that i was provided by this opportunity by K J Somaiya institute of management,I am really enjoying my time here. Meeting a diverse range of people from around the world as well as Belgians. It is fascinating to have the opportunity to share ideas with others and observe how different cultures view things and life in general. It broadened my horizons and elevated my college experience to a new level. It is an extremely rewarding experience as its very important today, to have a solid understanding of different cultures, and studying abroad makes you more globally-minded

Saint Martin University,USA
I have never lived away from my family, and going to a new country was scary for me, but since the start, the faculty and staff of Saint Martin’s University we’re very friendly and helpful. They helped me settle in, along with the support I received from Satyendra Sir, Abha Ma’am and Nishigandha ma’am. After two months here, I can say that I have learnt a lot of things and I am a very different person, I am more adaptive to new environments and I have networked with people from diverse backgrounds. The Americans are teaching me about their culture and I am teaching them about our culture. Me and my friends cooked Cholle Bhature for all the students in their community kitchen. I am lucky, and honoured, and super grateful to KJ Somaiya Institute of Management for giving me this opportunity.

DHBW,Stuttgart
I am very thankful that K J Somaiya Institute of Management gave me this opportunity.
Germany is extremely organised because of its strict adherence to laws and regulations. Thanks to this semester-long exchange, I can now appreciate and accept the Germans' sense of individuality.
My objectives were to become more familiar with the German culture and educational system, to meet individuals from many cultures, and to gain new insights.
My conversations with friends covered social traditions, history, foods, and cultures from their native countries. In Germany, I was able to indulge my passion for travel.
I would without a doubt advise future students to enrol at DHBW Stuttgart if they are considering spending a semester studying abroad. One's thinking is widened, creativity is encouraged, and perspective is given. My understanding of my own culture has actually grown as a result of this trip, and I am confident that having a larger understanding of other cultures will aid me in my job as well as my personal growth.

UCLL, Belgium
I am grateful to KJSIM for giving me this opportunity to pursue a semester abroad which allowed me to experience global education while immersing myself in a new culture and setting. A successful completion of the same helped me in growing both professionally and personally, by pushing me to step out of my comfort zone and gain international exposure. UCLL is one of the leading business schools in Europe. This vibrant campus provided one of the most nurturing environments to develop myself professionally. As a student looking to embark on a global career, I found this immensely exciting. A geographically diverse classroom helped me in gaining an understanding of various cultures as well as enhance my ability to work in multicultural groups. I got a chance to develop my flexibility and mobility, as well as open-mindedness and decisiveness. While the above benefits will help me accelerate professionally, I gained significantly out of the rich heritage of Belgium. Spending a term in the world’s richest cultural site was nothing short of a dream, helping me realize the finer aspects of life. Spending a semester abroad also made me realize how important it is to know our roots and appreciate the culture we are born in. I am confident this experience will help me later in my life, both personally and professionally.
