Prof (Dr.) Chandan Singhavi works as Data Science and Technology faculty at K J Somaiya Institute of Management. She has 23 years of experience in academia.  She has been a BOS/ advisory committee/ Subject Board IT/ Data Science member since 2009. Her research is in ICT adoption in Education and technology adoption and has resulted in many national and international publications in renowned journals, including ABDC. Her research has also led to an impact in schools and work of NGOs like Pratham.

She is one of the most sought-after resources in Advanced Excel, Business Intelligence, Dashboarding using Tableau/ Qlik Sense, Data Mining, CRM, SAP, ERP, and Simulations for Enterprise systems. MS Project, MS Acces,s and Research Methodology using SPSS.  Some of the organizations where she has done training are Godrej and Boycee, LIC, Arkema, Nanavati Hospital, NUVOCO, BCCI, DAE, INS HAMLA, TISS, etc... She has handled consultancy projects for government organizations and NGOs. She is on the panel of CDAC for selection and promotion of their technical employees.

She handled different administrative portfolios like Chairperson IT infrastructure, Co-Chairperson Admissions committee, and Member PR committee. In her admissions and IT infrastructure role,  she has revamped the entire admissions process, has used technology extensively in every phase which led to the process becoming agile, robust and led to data driven decision making. The organization has benefited in terms of time, informed decision making and increased transparency. The impact of COVID’19 was felt minimal or negligible on the admissions process due to negligible.
