Document small wins to earn a better raise

Dr Shailaja Karve, Professor - Human Resource Management, K J Somaiya Institute of Management shared her thoughts in an article titled 'Document small wins to earn a better raise' in Mint.

She explains the structure of the journal to be maintained, mentioning that there are some non-negotiables to include in what can be called one's 'mouthpiece'. The document or journal should have the date of commencement and completion of the project, name of the task, context of the work, objectives set and outcomes achieved, actions taken as well as constraints faced.

Dr Karve explains that the journal can also have mitigation strategies, fringe benefits, if any, photographs or videos, letters of acknowledgement or even social media posts.
