As Academic Administrator at K J Somaiya Institute of Management, the focus was on building quality in Management Education by leading the Institute to achieve the globally coveted AACSB accreditation in May 2022 (19th B school in India to get the AACSB accreditation), NBA Accreditations, ISO 9001:2015 Bureau Veritas Certification and Re-Certification, International University Collaborations. The most challenging test of leadership was during the COVID lockdown situation which was handled successfully without any academic loss to the faculty and student community in terms of placements and new admissions.
Focused on building technology led pedagogy like the Bloomberg Lab, Coursera for Campus, Social Media Analytics Lab (under process), digitization of the library with purchase of more than 15 + e databases for enabling research activity by faculty and students, creation of 30 + experiential learning platforms for students and faculty to enable them to engage in multi-disciplinary teams in their areas of interest that would help them to develop their potential as future managers, launching Niche MBA Programmes like Healthcare and Sports Management, Case Research Centre.
Presented research papers and attended conferences at national and international level, publications in prestigious ABDC Category Journals such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Promotion Management, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, Journal of Marketing for Higher Education, South Asian Journal of Management and Business Perspectives and Research, reviewer for journals and have 717 citations as on date. The areas of teaching are strategic brand management, services marketing & management, internationalization and international marketing, strategic marketing management. The focus areas of research being brand management, consumer behavior, emerging markets, higher educational branding, sustainability and circular economy. Part of British Council funded international research projects, SPARC 2023 and GCRF 2019. PhD Guide with University of Mumbai and Somaiya Vidyavihar University. Reviewer of research papers for journals, organizing research-based conferences, writing articles on invitation for business magazines and web-based portals, part of panel discussions and media engagement. Visiting facultyship at SJMSOM IIT Bombay, NITIE Mumbai, University of Applied Sciences, Steyr, Upper Austria; DHBW Stuttgart, Germany; Graduate School of Service and Trade, Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia. Conducted international marketing conferences at K J Somaiya Institute of Management from 2011-2015.
