Careers and Conversations - Season 3, Episode 7| KJSIM

The Corporate Engagement Committee of K J Somaiya Institute of Management hosted the seventh session of Season 3 of its flagship Careers and Conversations series on 27 January 2026, themed ‘Playing the Long Game’. The guest speaker was Rashesh Shah, Chairman and Co-founder - Edelweiss Financial Services.

The session began with remarks by Shri Sameer Somaiya, Chancellor - Somaiya Vidyavihar University, who reflected on the institution’s philosophy of knowledge service and nation-building. The conversation, led by Dr Raman Ramachandran, Director and Dean - K J Somaiya Institute of Management, explored Rashesh Shah’s leadership journey and his views on patience, strong fundamentals and institution-building over short-term gains.

The session concluded with key lessons on ethics balance and long-term thinking, encouraging students to focus on attitude learning and relationships while building lasting success.
